Call2Recycle Canada, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization—in accordance with the Canadian Not-For Profit Corporations Act and the BC Societies Act.—founded in 1997 to protect and preserve the environment with diversified battery recycling programs for household, e-mobility, and electric vehicle batteries.
The organization operates recycling programs for battery producers, retailers, municipalities and more across the country. From processing standards, collection, and reporting to environmental compliance, close to 400 members help bring our programs to life.
Over 90 percent of people in Canada reside within a 15-kilometer radius of a Call2Recycle drop-off site (more than 15,000 locations), which makes battery recycling convenient and easy. Since inception, Call2Recycle programs have recycled over 60 million kilograms of batteries, keeping them out of local landfills and recovering the valuable materials that can be used to create new products.
